Long cooperation with Arek
Arek Oy builds, maintains and develops common information system services for pension insurance. Arek is a private limited company owned by its customers: Arek’s customers are Finnish pension companies.
The cooperation between Arek and Nextcon started in 2013, when Petri Ohtamaa from Nextcon started leading development projects at Arek.
Over the years, the projects led by Ohtamaa have been related to the development of the systems maintained by Arek, as well as to the transfer and changes in IT services, and to the implementation planning and leading the implementation of the new services introduced by the Incomes Register.
The cooperation has continued since then with IT infrastructure development projects and the implementation planning of new systems.
– Important projects should always be manned by people you trust. Trust is built on solid professionalism and confidence. Netxcon’s Petri Ohtamaa has always been a trust factor, both in Arek’s work and before that in our cooperation during my other assignments – Satu Koskinen, CTO Arek Oy
In Ohtamaa’s opinion, the cooperation has also gone very well and there have been plenty of interesting challenges along the way.
– From a journalist’s point of view, this was a very interesting and pleasant environment to do consulting work. We have been able to get involved in a vantage point, in national projects that are very challenging and have learned a lot along the way,” he says.
