Nextcon’s team of experts was strengthened in early September when Pirre Kujala took up the role of ICT Product Owner at Traficom.
Pirre is an experienced insurance specialist with a long career in development and project management. Now she is looking forward to working in a new team and project!
The years went by in the insurance sector
Pirre says she got into the insurance industry by accident and never thought she would stay in it. But almost 16 years went by in the blink of an eye.
– Before entering the industry, I did some systems development. It was only after a few years in the insurance industry that I moved from being an expert to working entirely in development. I started out as a tester and specifier, but the role changed quite quickly to Product Owner and I spent 11 years in that role.
Over the years, automation projects and integrations have become familiar. They have also included system upgrades and customer portal implementations. Pirre has also been involved in a project that lasted several years, until the transition to Nextcon.
Holistic understanding creates value for the customer
These different roles have strengthened Pirre’s ability to see projects as a whole. Good problem-solving skills and a holistic view of projects are Pirre’s absolute strengths.
– It is important to understand what happens between the beginning and the end of a project in order to achieve the desired outcome. I always think about the big picture and try to deliver value to the client through that.
“No matter how much automation and artificial intelligence is involved, it is still humans who do the work.”
Pirre spotted Nextcon’s job vacancy on LinkedIn and from the interview she had a good feeling about Nextcon.
– Right from the first contact, I got a good impression of the Nextcon team and culture. In particular, the focus on staff wellbeing stood out. No matter how much automation or artificial intelligence is involved, it’s the people who do the work. When a company invests in its staff, it bears fruit,” says Pirre.
