Nextcon has had a busy and interesting year in terms of new projects and especially internal development. Big steps have been taken for the future of the company and development work is still ongoing.
During this year, we have added many new consultants to our team, and our management team has also expanded. A boardroom professional, strategist and digital development expert has taken on the role of Senior Advisor Ville Tolvanen.
Ville brings with him a holistic understanding of business development and expertise in resourcing. Identifying suitable forms of cooperation, strategic planning and finding the right solutions are his core competencies.
Nextcon’s strengths in expertise and technology
The collaboration started in early 2021, when discussions began on Nextcon’s growth strategy, leadership and business development.
– Our ideas immediately converged on how the company’s strategic planning should be developed and taken forward,” says Petri Ohtamaa, CEO of Nextcon.
Ville has reviewed Nextcon’s operations and the key strengths identified are related to experienced, strategically important experts from different fields and the opportunities brought by technologies.
– Nextcon’s experts are independent and independent of developers, which is an absolute strength. Experienced talent is also important for continuity. Smart solutions, and in particular the use of AI in business, are a big part of digitalisation and it is a trend that is currently unifying projects. Nextcon already has a lot of expertise in this area, but we will strengthen it significantly.
The cooperation with Nextcon has started with building a growth strategy and will continue with the implementation of the measures after Ville joined the management team.
Petri describes the cooperation as constructive and straightforward. Ville’s experience in the IT consulting business has given him a lot of new perspectives. Thanks to the experience in the field, the common vision of developing the company and visioning the future has been on the same wavelength from the very beginning.
– The work on the growth strategy at the beginning of 2022 has provided a good basis for further cooperation, and the company has already started to implement several things in concrete terms. We have also agreed on the steps to be taken to continue the cooperation.
During 2022, Ville has moved from his role as a consultant to Senior Advisor at Nextcon, coaching the company’s leadership team on growth strategy, leadership and business development.
– The aim was to create clear stepping stones and guidelines for the development of the company, and these have already been taken forward. I believe that the strategy work will enable Nextcon to grow better than before, Ville adds.
